I loved the movie, Ratatouille. It was very entertaining. I booed when the Health Inspector tried to shut down the restaurant and laughed when the rats tied the guy up and threw him in a broom closet. I was even mad at the employees for not coming back to work at the restaurant once they saw the rat was actually making the meals. Yes, that was me sitting in the middle of the theatre making all that noise.
BUT, I happen to be in the middle of a minor mouse problem myself at the moment and I can tell you there isn’t any cooking going on behind the scenes. It’s irritating to come across droppings and other stress inducing signs in my new house. What’s worse is that we can’t figure out where they are coming from. Like I said, it’s a new house.
Did I bring them in with the boxes when we moved? If so, then we had been living with the little buggers for the past month without me knowing it and that doesn’t even take into account the time we were IN the rental with them. Uuughhhh!!! Not the answer I’m hoping for.
Or are they coming in from some unseen hole in the foundation? Definitely not the answer I want, because that means I could end up with LOTS more. No, I’d prefer the first scenario.
Either way, it’s a problem and one we are working hard to correct. Of course, nothing seems to really work. They avoid the sticky tape and the humane boxes. They are really good at irritating the heck out me by eating the peanut butter off of the snap traps without even setting them off. It’s frustrating. Especially when we finally get one, then two, then three, then… Well, you get the point. How many are there??? And how did they get to be so smart???
Which leaves me to wonder, how smart are they really? Are they holding a party in the attic of my new house like the rats did on Ratatouille? I hope not. I don’t even want to think about having that many in the house. Or what they could be plotting next. Bleh!!!
Okay, I’m done with this post. I really wish it was one I never even had to think about… Really…
Hope you are having a better week than I am!
