Diets suck!

Okay, now that I have that off my chest….

.

I had the worst time sticking to my diet and exercise plan last week (you know, when I didn’t blog….). This week was a lot better. As in, I actually exercised and I kept my eating down around the 1200 calorie count. I had a great time last Saturday at a friend’s graduation party, but I ate almost 1100 calories more than I should have when I ignored all reasoning and enjoyed the Low Country Boil he made (this is not exactly the recipe he made in the link, but damn close). Mmmmmmm…. I’m still tasting those spices (and my lips are still burning….).

But that is in the past and this week was much easier. I’m now down 3 more pounds, for a total of 8 since I started this program four weeks ago. My calorie counter on my Droid has really helped me stay at or under 1200 calories. I ran 3 days this week and only skipped my P90X program twice. My excuse on that is with school starting, so did sports, band, clubs and of course the continuous Boy Scout obligations. I know. Shouldn’t use these as excuses, but they have been taking up the free time I have in the evenings.

My vow for this coming week is to keep plugging away at it and try to do much better. (P90X saying – Do your best and forget the rest. Words to live by!)
